In order to become a Paramedic, you must satisfy a number of prerequisite educational and work requirements: You must pass a CPR/First Responder course, an EMT course, work as an EMT for one year, apply for and pass Paramedic school. If you wish to work on an ambulance, you will also be required to attain an Ambulance Drivers License.
